We are creating a series of YouTube videos under the “edu-“ label to guide users through the migration from ArcoLinux to Arch Linux. These tutorials aim to make the transition process smoother by explaining each step clearly and providing practical examples. Whether you’re switching to gain more control or to learn vanilla Arch, our edu- videos are here to support your journey.

ArcoLinux has stopped

Teaching never stops—because learning is a lifelong journey for all of us.

3 – All about conky’s on ArcoLinuxD Cinnamon

There are conky’s and desklets in Cinnamon. Let us check out the difference.

You can find conkyzen in your menu and move it to the favorites panel.

Two things to remember

  • am-conkyzen is our overview of all conky’s
  • am-conky-session will run the conky saved in the last conky-sessionfile

We can tell cinnamon to start up our conky automatically at bootup.

New conky’s come in all at the time…

What should we do when a new update of the conky’s comes in?

Copy/paste the /etc/skel/config/conky folder to your own home directory.
We compare it with meld to see the differences.
