We are creating a series of YouTube videos under the “edu-“ label to guide users through the migration from ArcoLinux to Arch Linux. These tutorials aim to make the transition process smoother by explaining each step clearly and providing practical examples. Whether you’re switching to gain more control or to learn vanilla Arch, our edu- videos are here to support your journey.

ArcoLinux has stopped

Teaching never stops—because learning is a lifelong journey for all of us.

5 Overview of the settings on Nautilus with extra packages

The file manager in Gnome is nautilus. We check out the preferences of Nautilus.

We have installed a package to provide us with the option to open folders as administrator.
Sometimes you need to change contents in a protected part of your computer.

We installed extra nautilus packages like compare folders or files with meld.

But also manipulation of images.

You can install more packages for nautilus. Pamac can help you search for extra functionality you may need on your system.

You can change images with the image tools installed and we show you how.

There are other things you can install like nautilus-terminal. That is up to you.

You can use pamac again to uninstall the installed packages or even better put a hashtag before the installation line in the scripts and it will not be installed next time.
