Personally I want a free workflow.

Meaning = any applications can go on any workspace.

But you can tell Herbstluftwm to assign applications to show up only on one designated tag/workspace.

In the video we show you a catch however.

If you have changed the tag layout, you need to change here also the tag name in the rules section.

There are general rules coming from herbstluftwm but there are also rules coming from ArcoLinux.

Last but not least we launch polybar to get a topbar.
